The Lifetime movie, Britney Ever After, which airs Saturday at 8 p.m. EST chronicles the pop star's rise to fame and 2007 downward spiral.

Australian actress Natasha Bassett plays the pop star. She recreated the "Lucky" singer’s dramatic head-shaving scene with the help of a prosthetic skull cap.

She told Inside Edition: “it’s difficult depicting something so harrowing.”

She added: “I think that she was such a young girl going through something that it almost cannibalized her. And I don’t think that many other people would have come out alive after what she went though.”
