How Actress Recreated Britney Spears' Head-Shaving Scene For Lifetime Movie
Australian actress Natasha Bassett plays the pop icon in the upcoming film.
On the 10th anniversary of Britney Spears' famous head shaving and umbrella attack, her notorious public meltdown is coming to TV.
The Lifetime movie, Britney Ever After, which airs Saturday at 8 p.m. EST chronicles the pop star's rise to fame and 2007 downward spiral.
Australian actress Natasha Bassett plays the pop star. She recreated the "Lucky" singer’s dramatic head-shaving scene with the help of a prosthetic skull cap.
She told Inside Edition: “it’s difficult depicting something so harrowing.”
She added: “I think that she was such a young girl going through something that it almost cannibalized her. And I don’t think that many other people would have come out alive after what she went though.”
The movie has been made without the singer’s blessing. In December, her rep said: “Britney Spears will not be contributing in any way, shape or form to the Lifetime biopic, nor does it have her blessing."
