California Woman Scares Off Would-Be Burglars by Screaming as They Kick in Door

A California woman managed to scare off two would-be burglars who tried to break into her home.
Andrea Leggett was in the shower Wednesday when it suddenly felt like her whole Pleasanton house was shaking. She rushed downstairs, where her 9-year-old son was waiting for a ride to school, in just a towel as her dogs went crazy, barking at the front door.
There, Leggett saw two men trying to kick in her front door. The kicks were so violent, the entire house was quaking with each blow.
The door eventually gave, but then Leggett screamed her husband's name, sending the two men running.
Home surveillance video captured the brazen break-in attempt. Leggett believes that the two men thought the house was empty and when they heard Leggett, they booked it.
Leggett told Inside Edition she's "thankful" it didn't progress any further and added that she and her husband plan to reinforce the door so something like this doesn't happen again.
Police are working to identify the men.
