Cobra's Head Freed From Beer Can by Rescuers
A local resident in eastern India found the trapped snake and called for help.
A cobra snake got to live another day after getting his head stuck in a beer can, thanks to rescuers.
A local resident in eastern India found the trapped snake and called for help. Two men helped to free the snake by using a sharp knife to cut the beer can off its head.
The venomous snake has been listed as “vulnerable” on the Red List of International Union for Conservation of Nature because of its habitat impairment, according to Reuters.
This isn't the first time this has happened. In 2017, another cobra, also in the Indian state of Odisha, had its head stuck in a beer can and it took two hours to cut it out.
Doctors believe it will take the reptile a month to recover from the ordeal.
