One California bride's town burned to the ground, but she and her husband pushed through to have their wedding over the weekend amid the ashes of Paradise.

Morgan Shingler and her husband made the tough decision to move forward with their wedding Saturday.

The ceremony, their first dance and all of the other excitement surrounding their wedding day nearly didn’t happen due to the fires.

Her childhood home burned to the ground, but by some miracle, they were able to her wedding gown, as well as a few other items.

Many of their wedding guests also lost everything.

"It wasn't an option not to happen," Shingler's mother told Inside Edition.

Her father echoed the statement saying, "With everything that has happened, we needed some hope."

So the wedding went forward, giving everyone a chance to smile amid so much sorrow.

The couple is currently on their honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.
