A New Jersey doctor has died after falling off a cliff while trying to take a picture of a beach during a trip to Ibiza with his fiancee, officials said.

Dr. Daniel Sirovich and his fiancee, Kristi Kelly, had originally planned to attend a music festival in England but the couple changed their plans due to rain, Kelly’s mother told the Staten Island Advance.

So the pair instead headed to Sa Pedrera de Cala d’Hort in Ibiza.

Sirovich, 34, and Kelly were sightseeing and hiking on Wednesday when Sirovich attempted to take a photo from a trail overlooking a beach. He slipped and fell 82 feet, loved ones said.

An off-duty nurse at the scene reportedly attempted to save Sirovich and he was airlifted to a hospital, but he died.

Sirovich planned to move to Boston, Massachusetts, a week after his vacation for a position as a physician in an intensive care trauma unit, which his friend Gui Ramos wrote on GoFundMe said was something “he waited so long for.”

Sirovich was described as a loving and dedicated person who went above and beyond for his friends and family. He and his fiancee met seven years ago and got engaged in Germany in 2016, NJ.com reported. They planned to marry next year.

“Danny was, by far, the person with the most life that we had the pleasure to meet,” Ramos wrote on GoFundMe. ”He gave 120% in everything he did, from his studies, to work, to loving Kristi, his family, and friends.”

The GoFundMe page was created by Ramos to raise funds to bring Sirovich’s body home and finance a funeral. More than $44,000 had been raised by Monday.

“We are speechless with the amount of support Danny and his family has received during these hard times,” Ramos said, noting Sirovich was “someone who saved many lives and didn’t receive the opportunity to have someone save his.”
