Kentucky Firefighters Rescue Pair of Deer Trapped in Flooded Basement
Video shows one of the animals being hauled up to the surface, where it quickly dashed for the woods.
When two deer became trapped in a flooded basement in Kentucky Sunday, the fire department came to their rescue.
Heavy rainfall in the area over a couple of days caused the deer to take refuge in a construction site, according to the Zoneton Fire Protection District.
While they were safe from the storm, they didn't exactly stay dry.
The animals had to be saved from the basement, which became too slick in the storm.
