Caretaker Of Late Architect Arrested For Allegedly Stealing His Home

In June 2024, Nora Rowland had not heard from her ailing father, retired architect Robert Rowland, in weeks. She drove to his South Carolina home to find out that Robert had died three days earlier. She was also shocked to learn that his former caretaker had taken ownership of his house. That caretaker, identified as Sarah Smalls, has now been arrested. Smalls has been charged with perjury, breach of trust and exploitation of a vulnerable adult. She posted $45,000 bail.
