3 Billion Koalas, Kangaroos and Other Wildlife Impacted by Fires in Australia

Wildfires in Australia have been devastating for the nation, but officials say the wildlife has had it the worst. An estimated three billion wild animals have been killed or displaced since 2019, three times their original estimates. A report by the World Wide Fund for Nature estimates 143 million mammals, 180 million birds, 50 million frogs and almost two and a half billion reptiles were impacted.
