    Gilgo Beach Serial Killer Rex Heuermann Pleads Guilty to Murdering 7 Women, Admits to 8th Victim

    The man accused of being the Gilgo Beach serial killer has pled guilty in charges stemming from the murder of seven women between 1993 and 2011. He also admitted killing another woman in a Long Island courtroom Wednesday. Rex Heuermann has been in custody since July 2023 and originally pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of first and second degree murder, however, he has now changed his plea to guilty ahead of a trial that was slated for September. He will be sentenced in June.
