12-Year-Old Boy Finds 80 Million Year-Old Fossil In Kansas
June 1, 2026
A curious sixth grader made a pre-historic discovery. Corbin Bullard, 12, was on a field trip with his 4H Geology club in Kansas when he accidentally came across something in the ground that caught his attention. Reports say the fossil was found back in September, but it took Corbin and his club three trips to carefully unearth the whole thing. The bones have been identified as those of a tylosaurus. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
