Highway Patrol Officer Rescues Dog Abandoned on Ohio Highway

What was supposed to be a routine check of a rest area in Medina County, turned out to be a bittersweet surprise for one Ohio State Trooper. One trooper discovered an abandoned puppy inside a crate along I-71. In bodycam footage, recorded on August 23, but recently released by Ohio State Highway Patrol, the trooper can be seen removing cardboard from around the crate and then the dog who seemed thrilled to be out of the crammed space.
