October 5, 2020

“Saturday Night Live” marked it’s return to TV with a live studio audience by pulling in 7.77 million viewers - the most since the season premiere in 2016. The show faced backlash for making jokes about President Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis, with many of his supporters saying it crossed the line. Alec Baldwin, who plays Trump on the show, posted a video defending the show, saying that if he had been considered gravely ill, they would not have made any jokes at all about the illness.
