Andy Parker Wants Facebook and YouTube to Remove Videos of His Daughter’s Murder
After television journalist Alison Parker and her colleague, cameraman Adam Ward, were murdered by a former co-worker during a live broadcast in 2015, video of the crime circulated across social media. And that footage is still out there, says Alison’s father, Andy Parker. He and others have been trying to have that footage scrubbed from every platform. But due, in part, to a 1996 law, the traumatic footage is still available to view on social platforms like Facebook and YouTube.
