Billionaire Socialite Charged in Cop’s Shooting Death Released From Prison

The billionaire socialite arrested in Belize in the shooting death of a police officer has made bail. Jasmine Hartin hid under a blanket as she was released from the nation’s notorious Central Prison after posting $15,000. Hartin was taken to prison on a golf cart last week after being charged with manslaughter by negligence in the shooting death of local police superintendent Henry Jemmot. Hartin told investigators the gun accidentally went off as she was practicing loading it.
