Children of Slain Jennifer Magnano Honor Their Mother With Connecticut Law

Earlier this year, journalist Maya Chung visited three siblings whose mother, Jennifer Magnano, was killed by her husband Scott in 2007 after years of abuse. Jennifer’s children lobbied to change laws about domestic violence and abuse in the state of Connecticut, in the hopes of preventing similar tragedies. Their efforts would result in the passage of Jennifer’s Law, which expands the definition of domestic violence to include coercive control. This is their family’s story.
