Cleveland Neurosurgeon Robert White Dreamed of Doing a Head Transplant

Dr. Robert White was a brilliant neurosurgeon and scientist who had an usual aim in life. “One of his goals was to perform a head transplant,” medical historian Brandy Schillace told Inside Edition Digital. White is the subject of a new book by Schillace, “Mr. Humble & Dr. Butcher.” The Cleveland-based researcher drew inspiration from Soviet animal experiments, and first operated on several monkeys, before turning his attention to a potential human subject.
