Composting Could Drastically Curb Methane Emissions: Report

Where do your food scraps go? Climate scientists say reducing this form of waste could be a key to curbing climate change. The Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives studied waste management in eight cities across the world. It released a report showing that waste separation, recycling and composting programs can cut methane emissions by 80%. Methane is a greenhouse gas and experts say trash makes up 20% of global methane emissions. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
