EU Reports This January Was Hottest January Ever Recorded

January 2024 is in the books and it broke some records. The European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service says it was the hottest January ever recorded. Its latest bulletin says that temperatures were higher than the average temperature between 1991 and 2020 by .7 degrees centigrade. It also reported that the global mean average temperature of the past 12 months was more than half a degree warmer than average over the same time period.
