Flooding in Virginia Wipes Out More Than 100 Homes

Massive flooding in rural Virginia has left communities destroyed, washing away more than 100 homes. It happened in the southwest part of the state at the foot of the Appalachian mountains. Overnight storms deluged the area and caused landslides and power outages. When the waters receded, homes were destroyed and dozens of people were unaccounted for, but officials searched and were successful in finding every one of them.
