Family of Slain Student Pushes for Rideshares to Be Marked More Clearly

Nathanianel Rowland, the man convicted of stabbing college senior Samantha Josephson 120 times after she got in his vehicle thinking it was her Uber, will spend the rest of his life in prison. Now, her parents are fighting to pass a law in their daughter’s memory that would require rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft to make their drivers more easily identifiable and verifiable by passengers before rides even begin.
