Garth Brooks Honors California Shooting Victims at CMA Awards

Garth Brooks opened Wednesday night’s CMA Awards with a tribute to the victims of last week's mass shooting at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, California. Speaking to Inside Edition earlier in the evening, Brooks said it was a relief not to be nominated. “I gotta tell you, it's like a weight off your shoulders,” he said. Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley co-hosted the show once again and announced the very pregnant Underwood is expecting a boy.
