‘Hot Water Challenge’ Lands Indiana Teen in Hospital With Second-Degree Burns

A 15-year-old Indiana boy is surprisingly in high spirits after he was burned during a viral social media challenge. Kyland Clark says he and his friend were watching videos of the “Hot Water Challenge,” in which an unsuspecting person is doused with hot water. Kyland says his friend pulled the prank on him when he fell asleep, and the water was so hot that it caused second-degree burns.
