India Uses Drones to Battle Locust Swarms Near Taj Mahal

As swarms of locusts buzz through south Asia, authorities in India are deploying their own buzzing weapon: drones. The drones are being used to spray insecticides on the flying pests. The locust problem this year is especially severe - the worst in several decades. Locusts are actually a kind of grasshopper. They’re usually solitary in nature. But in certain conditions, their bodies change and they form swarms.
