New York and Los Angeles Receive Aid From Navy Hospital Ships

In two of the U.S. cities hit hardest by COVID-19, more help is on the way. As hospitals in both cities fill up, the U.S. Navy has dispatched two hospital ships, Comfort and Mercy, to New York and Los Angeles, respectively. Each ship will provide 1,000 much needed beds and 900 medical personnel to help relieve the strain that the pandemic is putting on local hospitals. Two of the swankiest hotels in Manhattan – the St. Regis and the New York Palace – are also being converted into makeshift hospitals
