New York City Starts Its ‘Phase One’ Reopening From Coronavirus Lockdown

New York City begins Phase One of its reopening today. Phase One means a return to work for manufacturing, construction and retail businesses. One retail store owner in the Chelsea neighborhood knows things won’t be back to pre-pandemic levels just yet. “At least it’s a starting point,” he told WCBS. At a weekend press conference, NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio said, “This is a moment that every New Yorker should celebrate.”
