‘Operation Cookie Monster' Cracks Down on Cyber Criminals

An online marketplace for cyber crimes has been shut down through "Operation Cookie Monster." The FBI and other international law enforcement agencies shut down the sites owned by Genesis Market, a site that allegedly gave criminals the tools to steal identities and money. Criminals could pay less than $1 to access passwords. Authorities say there were 80 million digital fingerprints for sale. The FBI says victims of those using Genesis have lost tens of millions of dollars.
