A Giant Panda in residence at the Moscow Zoo recently cooled itself in a pool of water. Temperatures in the habitat have not been especially comfortable for the furry creature; the zoo reported its hottest June day in at least 142 years. According to Chinese officials, Giant Pandas are no longer considered endangered. Because the number of pandas in the wild has reached 1,800, they’re now just a ‘vulnerable’ species. At the end of 2020, there were reportedly 1,864 pandas in the wild.
