This house-turned-museum in New York City has been keeping a secret. The Merchant's House Museum believes this passageway, hidden in a dresser, was a stop on the Underground Railroad. They tell WCBS at the time, even some northern states weren't safe for those escaping slavery. Directors say they recently discovered that the home's architect and its first occupant was an abolitionist named Joseph Brewster.
