Dr. Drew Weissman and his University of Pennsylvania colleague, Dr. Katalin Kariko, won the prestigious Nobel Prize in medicine for their groundbreaking work that led to the creation of COVID-19 vaccines. When Dr. Weissman found out he won a Nobel Prize, he immediately called his parents. "Congratulations, sweetheart. You’re the product of our hearts, Drew," his mother told him.
