Ways to Stay Safe If You’re Alone at a Gas Station

Gas stations can be potentially dangerous for women who travel alone. Getting out of a car to gas up or grab a snack in a convenience store can put customers at risk. The danger became evident after the apparent abduction of student Aniah Blanchard, which took a turn last night with the arrest of a suspect, Ibraheem Yazeed. Blanchard is the 19-year-old stepdaughter of UFC fighter Walt Harris and was last seen at a gas station in Alabama two weeks ago. Police fear she is a victim of foul play.
