John F. Kennedy Jr. was at a crossroads at the time of his death 20 years ago. Foremost on his mind was his rocky marriage to Carolyn Bessette, his friend said. "They were constantly bickering and fighting over a whole series of things," historian Steve Gillon, a member of JFK Jr.'s inner circle, told Inside Edition. Gillon is the author of “America’s Reluctant Prince.” He interviewed many of John F. Kennedy Jr.’s closest friends, some of whom have never spoken out before.
