Workers Decide to Quit Their Jobs Rather Than Return to the Office

Four million people quit their jobs in April, and some of that is fueled by resistance to returning to offices. The pandemic is forcing lots of people to reevaluate their lives, and many who enjoy remote work are now saying they’re never going back to the office. Jon-Stephen Stansel and Portia Twidt both quit their jobs when their bosses said they had to come back to the office. Portia says making workers come back to offices when they have the needed tech at home “feels like a boomer power play.”
