Meghan Markle Was Once a Judge on 'Chopped Junior' Before Royal Engagement
She was blunt, but kind with the child contestants.
Before she was engaged to royalty, Meghan Markle was once a food judge, appearing on a 2016 episode of "Chopped Junior."
The future princess and foodie appeared as a judge on an episode of the Food Network cooking competition, called "Cup of Glee."
"Growing up, my fondest memories, at least for me, were in the kitchen," she told the pint-sized contestants.
The "Suits" star was blunt with the youngsters as she critiqued their cuisine, but remained compassionate while doing it.
"Unfortunately, the yogurt sauce didn't really fit with everything else going on the plate, but I will say I really enjoyed eating your food," she said.
She also complimented one contestant.
"This dish reminded me of the kind of food that I grew up eating in California, like that real kind of farm-to-table fresh, really simple ingredients," she said.
It has been reported that Markle loves to cook and when her future husband, Prince Harry, popped the question, the two were making chicken.
Markle and the prince will tie the knot on May 19 at Windsor Castle.
