Meghan Markle's Makeup Artist Explains How He Gave Her the 'Markle Sparkle'
Spencer Barnes took Inside Edition through the steps on how he applied her makeup.
Meghan Markle's former makeup artist is explaining how he gave the soon-to-be royal that "sparkle" that Prince Harry — and the rest of the world — has fallen in love with.
Spencer Barnes would help her get red carpet-ready and with the help of a model named Tess Beatrice, he is sharing his secrets on how to get Markle's look with Inside Edition.
He says Markle had great skin and “took incredible care” of it. He used the same products on Beatrice that he applied on his former client.
The first step in taking care of your skin is a moisturizer designed to provide intense hydration.
“It is exactly what gives that skin a radiant, healthy glow," he said. "It is full of hyaluronic acid, which is known to carry a thousand times its water weight in hydration."
On to the eyes, it's rose tone on the lid and plum color close to the lash line.
“Plum [colors] are a great way to make brown eyes pop, Meghan’s eyes are so much fun when they sparkle,” he said.
Markle loves to showcase her freckles, so it's important to keep the face makeup light. Barnes would top off the makeup with a shimmery blush.
"Her freckles, we would aim to partially cover them and let them shine through," he said.
