Nearly 1,400 People Hit the Lottery With Same Winning Numbers: 2222

South Carolina Educational Lottery officials are paying out a record prize of $3.4 million in last Saturday’s Pick 4 game.
Imagine finding out you’ve won the lottery, but you have to split the winnings with almost 1400 other people.
CNBC reports that it happened in South Carolina, after they all happened to select the same exact winning numbers in the state’s Pick 4 game: 2-2-2-2.
South Carolina Educational Lottery officials are paying out a record prize of $3.4 million in last Saturday’s game.
However, officials say not everyone will get an equal payout. It all depends on how much they spent on their ticket. One person played the winning combination 16 times, snagging them $80,000.
Most will take home between $2,500-$5,000.
