New Jersey Woman Wins $288G Playing Online Slots While on Work Conference Call

The woman had placed a $2 online bet.

A New Jersey woman on a work conference call made a fortune by playing an online slot machine at the same time.

The unidentified worker had placed a $2 internet bet with the SugarHouse Online Casino. She hit big, winning $288,000 — the largest online slots payout in state history.

“Hitting this record-breaking jackpot is great for us and for the entire online gaming industry, as it proves people can win life-changing amounts online at anytime and anyplace,” said Richard Schwartz, President of Rush Street Interactive, the online casino’s operator.

The woman "was actually on a work conference call and almost screamed out loud" when she won, she posted in the casino's chat room.
