Redmond O'Neal, Son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal, Charged With Attempted Murder After Alleged Crime Spree

33-year-old Redmond O'Neal is accused of punching or stabbing at least five men and robbing a convenience store.
The troubled son of actors Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett has been charged with attempted murder.
Redmond O'Neal is accused of going on a violent crime spree last month during which cops say he stabbed or punched five random men and allegedly held up a 7-Eleven at knifepoint.
According to the LAPD, the 33-year-old was charged Friday.
CBS Los Angeles reports two men were seriously injured, including one who was stabbed in the face.
The LAPD says O'Neal was arrested May 8 after they responded to calls about a convenience store armed robbery.
LAPD officer Rosario Herrera told USA TODAY the clerk gave O'Neal money from the register and O'Neal then fled.
Police say O'Neal was later found on the street carrying cash and a knife.
The LAPD says O'Neal has reportedly since been connected to other crimes after he was identified through facial tattoos and red hair.
O'Neal has made headlines over the years, mostly for his reported struggle with drug addiction.
The 33-year-old was jailed most recently in 2015 after violating the terms of a 2012 probation sentence related to drug charges.
He was sentenced to three years, but was released serving out that sentence.
