Sheriff Chases Away Bear Peering into Closed Stores After Hours

“Don’t be breaking into anybody’s businesses,” the officer told him.
“Don’t be breaking into anybody’s businesses.”
That’s what a California deputy warned a bear that was seen roaming around Kings Beach after hours.
Deputy Don Nevins of the Placer County Sheriff’s Office spotted the wild animal while on patrol Tuesday evening.
The bear could be seen checking out closed storefronts in a video the Placer County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook until Nevins gets its attention by yelling, “Hey, big boy!”
“Check out the size of this ‘suspicious subject,’” deputies wrote.
The mammal could be seen toward the end of the video running across the street and into a wooded area.
