Sofia Sanchez, Famously Visited by Drake in Hospital, Feeling 'Great' Following Heart Transplant

The little girl captured the hearts of America after she excitedly learned she would be receiving a new heart.

The young girl who got a surprise visit from Drake in the hospital has been discharged with the brand new heart.

Sofia Sanchez, 11, is finally home and out of the hospital after many weeks inside Chicago Ronald McDonald House and now has a new heart.

She made headlines last month when Drake surprised her while she was waiting for the transplant.

Less than a week after the "In My Feelings" rapper's visit, Sofia screeched with delight and cried tears of joy as she learned she would be getting a new heart.

"It feels great to be back to myself," she said at a news conference Thursday in Chicago.

Well-wishers applauded Sofia as she graciously acknowledged the person who saved her life.

"Thank you for the donor's family for donating their organs, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be here now and would probably still be in the hospital," she added.
