Taylor Swift Fans Who Met at Concert 5 Years Ago Get Engaged During Meet and Greet With Star
Mariah Carey also had a proposal at her concert over the weekend.
A Taylor Swift fan couple, who met five years ago at one of her concerts, got engaged at a meet and greet during the star’s Friday concert in Philadelphia.
"They walk into the meet and greet and he says, 'We met 5 years ago at the Red Tour' and then..... ," Swift wrote on Instagram along with a photo of the big moment.
The pair even returned to the Swift concert on Saturday night wearing shirts with a picture of the proposal from the day before.
“We are back... as an engaged couple! #RepTourPhilly,” the couple wrote on Twitter.
Swift wasn’t the only celebrity over the weekend to have someone drop down on one knee during her concert.
Mariah Carey stopped her Las Vegas concert “The Butterfly Returns” on Saturday so that one of her male backup dancers could be proposed to on stage at the Caesars Palace Colosseum.
"We’ve been planning this for a long time, and you didn’t know about this, so hopefully you’re going to be surprised in a very good way," Carey said to her backup dancer before leaving the stage. The dancer's boyfriend then popped the question as the crowd screamed.
Carey later posted a video of the proposal to Twitter with the caption: “he said yes!!!”
The video went viral and Carey was praised by the LGBTQ community on social media.
