Maggie and Aaron met as kindergarteners.
"Maggie was my first crush. She was my first friend that I made, so I obviously had strong feelings for her," Aaron told Inside Edition.
They stayed in touch and both ended up attending the University of North Georgia at the same time.
"When we first saw each other, we were both kind of like, 'Oh gosh.' Everything just kind of like rekindled and we both had this gut feeling," Maggie said.
After their fateful romance blossomed, and it came time to propose, Aaron popped the question on their old elementary school playground.
Now Maggie, a nurse, and Aaron, a marine, have gone from kindergarten sweethearts to living happily ever after.
