Court documents confirm Murad Mansurovich Kurbanov was born in 1999.

A Salt Lake City teen’s mugshot went viral – not for his alleged crime, but for his age.

Murad Mansurovich Kurbanov, 19, was arrested and charged on Christmas Day for theft of a rental vehicle, failure to stop at the command of police and reckless driving, according to the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Department.

But when local news station Fox 13 Salt Lake City posted his mugshot on their Facebook page, the comments section couldn’t help but weigh in on his age and appearance.

“Wait that is a 19-year-old? If I had been a witness and they asked me how old the suspect looked, I would have said 45 to 60,” one of the comments read.

Another read: “This is what 19 looks like when you were born on a leap year.”

However, court documents confirm his birth year is 1999.

Kurbanov allegedly rented a U-Haul van earlier this month and never returned it, which causes it to be considered stolen under Utah law, according to a statement by police.

Police said they then spotted the U-Haul van on Christmas Day run multiple red lights and illegally pass vehicles. The U-Haul then allegedly failed to stop when police attempted to pull the driver over, according to police.

Kurbanov was then found at an apartment complex, police said.

Kurbanov posted $10,000 bail and was released Christmas Day.
