"Hallway Pizza Guy," as he's been dubbed, is the viral star of the Michael Cohen hearings.

It's the mystery gripping D.C.

Who was that man eating pizza in the middle of a live broadcast during the Michael Cohen hearings in Washington Wednesday?

"Hallway Pizza Guy," as he's been dubbed on social media, rose to viral fame online as he chowed down on a slice while in the background of a live CBSN shot. He was in line to get into the hearings early, which may explain why he was so hungry by the afternoon break.

The pizzeria he ordered from, &pizza, which has a spot inside the Capitol, wasted no time capitalizing on the attention, making a gif out of the moment and listing the type of pizza he ordered. The chain is also using his face on its Twitter account.

"It has been a lot of fun for the company, it has been a lot of fun for our customers and probably only a 24-hour thing, so we are going to make the most of it," Michael Lastoria, &pizza Capitol Hill manager, told Inside Edition.
