Georgia High School Football Coach Recruits His Players for Proposal to Girlfriend

Nafis Pickett, the recruiting coordinator and a coach at Lanier High School, and his now-fiancé, Ashley Wilson, had been dating for just over a year when he decided to ask her to marry him.

For one Georgia high school football coach, popping the question was truly a team effort.

Nafis Pickett, the recruiting coordinator and a coach at Lanier High School, and his now-fiancé, Ashley Wilson, had been dating for just over a year when he decided to ask her to marry him.

"She knows that I love coaching but for her to do that and still be around me, that truly means a lot," Pickett told Inside Edition.com.

But he needed a little help.

On Nov. 2, at the end of a game, the players gathered around Wilson in a circle, presenting her with red roses to tell her they appreciate all that she does.

And then Pickett burst in.

"She’s been with me through everything in I do," Pickett tells Wilson in the now-viral proposal video. "So it's only right that I ask her, 'Will you marry me?'"

An emotional Wilson said "yes," kicking off the rest of their life together.
