Maryland Woman Wins Lotto Twice in as Many Months

One teacher has certainly learned her lesson.
One Maryland teacher has certainly learned her lesson.
The woman, who chose to remain unidentified, hit the lottery not once but twice in two months, according to the Maryland Lottery.
Both times, the special education teacher of 22 years won $50,000. This time, she scratched her way to her windfall playing a new “$5 Holiday Gold” game.
“Because it was a newly launched ticket, I knew most of the prizes were still available in the game,” she told lottery officials.
Two months ago, the 64-year-old won $50,000 playing the “Deal or No Deal” scratch-off game.
With her new riches, the woman says she’ll take care of her 90-year-old relatives and start an eldercare business to help seniors with impairments.
