14-Year-Old Ohio Girl Wasn’t Wearing a Life Vest When She Drowned at Water Park

A fun day at an Ohio amusement park turned into tragedy for the family and friends of a teenage girl. Mykiara Jones went missing at Land of Illusion’s Aqua Adventures. She had reportedly been on a jumping attraction, and not wearing a life vest. Authorities say a lifeguard pulled her out of the lake about 30 minutes after she had been in the water. CPR was performed and she was airlifted to a hospital, where Mykiara Jones was pronounced dead.
