How to Avoid Firework Mishaps This 4th of July

As millions gear up to watch fireworks light up the night sky on the Fourth of July, experts are warning to be careful when using and near fireworks. Over 15,500 injuries and 18 deaths were reported in 2020 over firework accidents. That's a 50% increase since 2019. To stay safe this holiday weekend, experts say keep a safe distance between yourself and the fireworks. Also, young children should not be given sparklers while unsupervised.
