5 Hurt After Police SUV Under Siege Drove Through Protesters in Detroit

A police vehicle under siege plowed through a crowd of protesters in Detroit, injuring five people. The wave of civil unrest across the nation and calls to defund the police is triggering a backlash among cops. Reports say 272 officers have filed for retirement from the NYPD, 50% more than normal. New York cops are also facing criticism for clashing with marchers at the Pride Parade over the weekend. Trouble erupted as they moved to arrest a man who allegedly spray painted a patrol car.
