NJ College Helps Police Identify Human Remains Found In 1979

A mystery for more than 40 years finally has an answer, uncovered in part by students on a college campus. The Ramapo College Investigative Genetic Genealogy Center worked with the New Jersey State police to identify remains found in a shallow grave in Salem County back in 1979. In this case, they were able to give this John Doe a name: Robert Dean Irelan.
