Baby Sloth's Birth Was a Welcome Surprise to Zoo Staff

Staff at the Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo had no idea its now-mama sloth was expecting! The baby sloth was a welcome surprise. Sloths sleep up to 18 hours a day, and their thick fur makes it difficult to see outward signs of pregnancy. Baby sloths stay tightly wrapped against their mothers for six months to two years!
